Description
Insects and other invertebrates trout eat are different in stillwater. Sometimes the species will be the same that you find in streams, but you will need to fish them differently. In this class we will talk about midges, mayflies and caddisflies, flies, dragon and damselflies, leeches, water boatmen and backswimmers, and other critters that are specific to stillwaters in Maine. We will look at preserved specimens and think about how to choose flies that best imitate relevant stages of these critters.
