Damsels, Dragons, and Flies, Oh My!

Description

Following the same models we’ve used in the Mayflies, Caddisflies and Stoneflies classes, we will explore those aquatic insects and invertebrates.  We will cover, dragonflies, damselflies, midges, craneflies, scuds, cress bugs, crayfish and hellgrammites. We will learn about behavior, lifestyles, and how to recognize the common families in Maine. We will look at both preserved and live specimens to think about how to choose flies to best imitate relevant stages of this insect. Eric Frohmberg; instructor April 15 from 1-3
