Description
In this class, students will learn how to recognize the differences between mayflies, caddisflies
and stoneflies for both adults and nymphs. We will discuss how their behavior of these insects
relate to common fly patterns, such as dries, emergers, wet flies and nymphs. We will look at
both preserved and live specimens to think about how structure and movement influences fly
choice. While not a prerequisite for Mayflies for Fly Anglers, Stoneflies for Fly Anglers, and
Caddisflies for Fly Anglers, this course will cover information that will be used in the other
classes. Instructor: Eric Frohmberg
